The private practice setting allows you more freedom to practice in a way that meets each individual patient's and client's needs. That flexibility is very satisfying, and is one of the many reasons that our practice is appreciated by so many. We know that having a schedule that allows for free time for family, friends, activities, and personal growth, is important to your own health and well being. We can be quite flexible with scheduling, with a 4 day work week for full-time associates, and time off for CE or special events, holidays, and vacations. Our location is great with many opportunities for outside work activities - lakes, rivers, hiking, riding, biking, University town nearby, shopping, etc., and central to Richmond, Washington, DC, and Charlottesville. Housing costs and the general cost of living are very reasonable. We care for cats and dogs, but are quite open to adding other small animal species to our practice. If you have an interest in a specific area of small animal practice, you will be supported in continuing that interest, or developing it further, with time off and/or financial help for training and continuing ed. We want you to enjoy your work. We want you to know that your help, talents, and dedication are not just needed, but also appreciated.
