Academic institution is seeking two veterinarians! We are in a veterinary shortage area and candidates may qualify for the United States Department of Agriculture National Institutes of Food and Agriculture Veterinary Medicine Loan Repayment Program (VMLRP). Veterinarians needed to teach veterinary technology and animal science courses and labs, provide veterinary services and assist with community outreach on the Navajo Reservation and surrounding area. Located in rural Crownpoint, NM, in the beautiful Four Corners region with access to skiing, camping, biking, hiking, running trails, fly fishing, river rafting, and more. Our veterinary technology program is an AVMA-accredited two-year Associate's of Applied Science program. Our animal science program is a baccalaureate degree program.
Institution does not guarantee acceptance for the VMLRP (visit https://nifa.usda.gov/vmlrp-shortage-situations for more information). Full-time professional salaried positions with paid time off (192 hrs during 1st & 2nd years, then 248 annually thereafter), inexpensive family medical / dental / vision insurance, retirement 401K, vet license / AVMA membership / PLIT / CE coverage, and other benefits are available. Licensed veterinarians will teach veterinary technology and animal science courses and labs, provide mixed animal veterinary services, and assist with veterinary community service work.
