Dr Lee Zeplin (Texas A&M 1996) practiced in the Houston area as both an associate and as a relief vet until deciding to move back to be in her hometown with her family founding Lone Star Animal Hospital in December 2004. Dr Zeplin welcomes new graduates she can share her passion of veterinary medicine with; she loves to mentor, collaborate with her associates, and share her experience of veterinary medicine and small business ownership. Dr Haley Daniel (Texas A&M 2016), a 3rd generation veterinarian, joined the practice in October 2017; her husband practices as a large animal veterinarian in another practice in Victoria .
Victoria is the largest city within its region, has “small town” personality, but all the conveniences of the big city without the hassle. It is only a 25 minute drive to coastal beaches or 90 miles to San Antonio, Houston, Austin or Corpus Christi. Average 40 hour workweek, consisting of 4 weekdays, 1 weekday off, and Saturday 8-12 with rotating weekends off. Emergency call is shared and rotated with most other small animal veterinarians in town (average 1 weekend every 2 months). Our goal is to provide exceptional care while still having a life outside of work. We offer competitive pay, CE allowance, dues, paid vacation and 100% paid health insurance.
