Our privately owned 2 doctor small animal practice in the Philadelphia suburbs is looking for a full time associate veterinarian to help us with our growing case load. We can get pretty busy, but you can still enjoy:
-30 minute appointment slots
-1.5 hour lunch/catch up slot
-multiple skilled support staff (so you can do doctor stuff!)
-up-to-date equipment: in house blood work, digital full body and digital dental radiographs, incubator, dental cart with high speed hand piece, newer anesthesia machine, and ultrasound - (ok, it's a bit dated, but still works well for FAST ultrasounds, cystos, and simple scans).
But wait-there's more!
Want to talk about a case with colleagues? We love picking each others' brains! Have a more complicated case that needs specialist input? We are close to several 24 hour and specialty hospitals. Prefer typing your records? We have electronic medical records. Like a little bit of fun and geekiness thrown into your day? We've got that too.
We need a candidate who is comfortable performing surgery and dentistry, or is interesting in learning, as you will be taking on the role as the primary surgeon for the hospital. One of our vets is skilled not only in routine surgeries and dentistry, but also more complex procedures such as perineal urethrostomies and anal sacculectomies and is happy to teach. We are also in learning from you and your experiences.
We also have a small exotics case load, but working with exotics is not required.
Our compensation package is salary based and also includes:
