We are currently seeking a California licensed veterinarian with a minimum of 2 years’ experience to join our amazing staff! The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator and who enjoys engaging with clients and creating a collaborative work atmosphere that nurtures the human animal bond. We are seeking someone who is motivated to work closely with clients and create customized medical plans that allow our high end clientele to feel engaged in providing gold standard medical care. Advanced surgical skill, exotics or ultrasound experience is a plus. The clinic is fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment including digital radiography, full in-house laboratory diagnostics, ultrasound and new dental equipment. The hospital facility comes complete with critical care monitoring equipment, isolation ward, and fully equipped surgical suites. It is our mission to find a well rounded and highly motivated veterinarian to utilize our state of the art facility and equipment to provide exceptional veterinary care and ensure that the hospital is productive.
We feel that these tools give us a better view into the pet’s health and well being, allowing us to give a higher level of care. Production and clinic growth will be a focus.

The following is a list of qualifications that would make an ideal candidate:
Examines, treats and consults with the client to create customized medical plans for their pets
Adheres to established policies and procedures
Performs routine surgical procedures including, but not limited to, ovariohysterectomy, orchiectomy/castration, tumor/mass removal, and hernia repair
Additional surgical skills are desired such as cystotomy, enterotomy, enucleation, gastropexi, and splenectomy. Orthopedic surgical skills are desired but not required for this position.
Ability to interpret dental radiographs and perform surgical dental extractions
Provides necropsy services when needed
Managing the staff to ensure that proper vaccination protocols, medication and treatments are administered by veterinary staff members.
Works cooperatively with the veterinary clinic manager and associate veterinarians in the development and implementation of hospital goals, policies and procedures related to the veterinary practice.
Ability to balance medical and financial priorities with the clients of the veterinary practice.
Ability to work independently, exercise good clinical judgment, provide supervisory support of technical staff and use diplomacy and tact in dealing with internal and external conflicts
Knowledge of preventive medicine for all ages.
Familiarity with Avimark software is desired but not required for this position.
