We are currently seeking a Program Support Specialist to serve at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Rockville and Poolesville Maryland. OVERVIEW: Responsible for all activities required for the proper care and maintenance as determined by the statement of work for SoBran BioScience Division animal care and support contracts. Description of Duties:
2. Ability to be flexible in work duties and environment 3. Ability to handle changing work locations in short to long term increments 4. Ability to travel locally and outside the immediate Northern Virginia/Maryland area if needed, to include the use of personal vehicle

Required Experience: Must have basic animal handling or lab animal industry experience and a desire to work with multiple species to include but not limited to rodents, rabbits, non-human primates as well as work in animal biosafety levels 1 to 3. Must complete the required training and receive clearance on the duties as they are assigned as outlined. Must be eligible to obtain Select Agent and LEVEL 2 FBI clearances. Required Education: Must have a bachelors of science degree or a combination of a high school diploma or equivalent plus related animal experience. Must attain certification by the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science as an Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) when eligible.
