World of Animals Inc. has an opportunity for an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join our growing company. Our multiple SE Pennsylvania locations include: company headquarters - a large, well established practice in beautiful Huntingdon Valley; a highly recommended hospital in the Rittenhouse Square section of Philadelphia within walking distance to stores restaurants and charming old city houses; a bustling hospital in the Mayfair section of NE Philadelphia with the opportunity to make a difference to pets and their owners; a newly established and growing location in Elkins Park and just opened - a 5th location in Bensalem, just waiting for the right doctor to help it reach its full potential. Our World of Animals hospitals are renovated and equipped with digital radiography, Idexx In-house laboratories and dental radiography.
We currently have an opening in our Rittenhouse Square location as well as our Bensalem hospital.
The ideal candidate will have, at least, three (3) years of small animal experience providing clinical, surgical and dental services. They will be someone who shares our goal to provide high quality veterinary care to our patients as well as exemplary customer service to our clients. The doctor chosen must possess excellent communication skills and have a naturally upbeat personality conducive to easily integrating into an existing team of equally devoted doctors and support staff.
Skills and Qualifications
A doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited university.
License in good standing to practice in the state of Pennsylvania
Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude.
Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets.
The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members and clients.
A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
Develop a rapport with clients and determine their needs and wishes; perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures in a way that will deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
Explain all findings and communicate to the client a diagnosis of the pets’ problem; develop and present a treatment plan for the pet to the client; educate clients on proper preventative health care
Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and confirm that all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols; assist colleagues in follow-up and future management of the patient.
Assist in the training and development of the paraprofessional team to ensure the delivery of high quality care and exceptional client service.
Positively represent the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
